We had an absolutely GORGEOUS evening to take Taylor and Nycole's engagement photos! I love this time of year, its warm, but not too hot and we are not forever swatting at mosquitoes--- I'll admit there were a couple flying around, but nothing we couldn't handle. This couple had some super cute ideas and I just can't get enough of all of these loving looks they were giving each other. Enjoy your sneak peek Taylor and Nycole!

Looking for Bridal Models!

The grass is green and the temps are up- its time for my summer bridal shoot project. I am looking for one or two couples to model as bride and groom for our next project with our participating vendors. If you are interested in modeling as bride or groom, or even if you and your real life husband or fiance would be interested, contact Holly D.

E-mail your measurements and please attach a photo of yourself to the e-mail, as well as including your contact information. The models must be available for fittings and then be able to devote an entire day to the photo shoot. It will take place in the Fergus Falls area. You will receive more details if you are chosen to participate in this great opportunity. Must be comfortable in front of the camera.

2nd Annual Operation Bootstrap Africa Fundraiser Auction!

Those that follow this blog may remember last year's photography package auction to support a great cause, Operation Bootstrap Africa. Well, its that time of year again. I am a little late on getting this started so we'll need to push it hard to get the auction going before the walk. This year it will take place June 7th. Walkers and supporters can meet at 5:15 at the courthouse in Fergus Falls. This is the 24th year we have had a walk supporting this cause here in Fergus. Remember to keep in mind proceeds directly benefit the children of Ketumbeine, Africa. Like last year, I will have a wall photo on the Holly D Photography Facebook page where the bidding will take place. That is where the most up to date amounts will be shown, but if you would like to place a bid via this blog or e-mail please do so and I will update the graphic with the amount you have bid. My church has always been involved with this event so I hope to generate a great donation to add to the cause. Lets beat what we did last year-- the winning bid was $180 -lets shatter the record!

Photography Package Details:

*Full photography session with Holly D Photography for up to 4 people
*A CD of 20, fully edited, full resolution images from your session with printing release
*A 5x5 custom designed, spiral bound session album using the photos of your choice on front and back covers, including 10 photo pages inside

This session fee and package is valued at $500, lets start the bidding at $125


Bidding starts today 5.26.11 at noon and the final bid will be accepted at 9:00 p.m. Sunday June 5th. The winner must pay for the session by Monday June 6th 5:00 p.m. by cash, check, or credit/debit card. The session may be scheduled at any time.

What an interesting chain of events.....

Years ago I used to babysit a sweet little girl named Danielle...fast forward 10 years or so and she becomes my go-to assistant on weddings! Who would have then thought I would get the opportunity to shoot her mother's wedding! Crazy to think after all these years we'd come back together to work together and celebrate one of life's greatest joys, the joining of two hearts in marriage. Thank you so much for asking me to be a part of this special day. It was a GORGEOUS spring evening, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate a wedding. It was a small, intimate, and emotional ceremony. Beautiful. Thanks and congratulations again Mr. & Mrs. B!

Brittaney + Scott {ND Engagement Photographer}

FINALLY a sunny and warm day for shooting! There wasn't even a lot of wind to contend with....a rarity in ND :) We had SO much fun shooting around downtown Fargo the time just flew by! Brittaney and Scott were game to try anything, I didn't even have to twist their arm too hard to get them down to Charlie's Ice Cream shop for some fun shots with a soda and an ice cream cone ;) While walking downtown Brittaney and I both spotted this LOVELY couch and we both had the same inclination....we had to use it-- what an amazing space! It was located in the Ecce Art Gallery. Thanks so much to Mark for letting us snap a few quick photos in there. This space can be rented for grooms dinners, rehearsal dinners, or wedding receptions.
