Chris and Sondra came down to the area for their engagement session on an extremely WARM night-- to put it mildly haha. They were gamers of course, as my clients always are- they know what they have to do to "get the shot" ;) Actually, I knew Sondra was a tough chick as she helped me get my car unstuck from a snowdrift when we originally met to go over paperwork for the wedding this winter haha-- can we say awkward first meeting? :) It luckily cooled off a little bit just as we were begining the session too, which helped. Sondra had this great idea for a bunch of balloons to be used in the shots, what started out as thinking about having 50-- the logistics of transporting 50 mylar balloons in a car just wasn't working out haha. I still love the look of these balloons in the pics, makes for a unique touch. And of course Phelp's Mill (at the couple's request) always makes for a beautiful backdrop. Thanks so much Sondra and Chris-- Enjoy your sneak peek!

The J Family {MN Family Photographer}
What a year! This session marked the end of our first year together taking photos every few months for little Miss X-- they are members of the Holly D Baby Club. I cannot believe a whole year has gone by, but yes, it certainly has. At our last session with Miss X, mom mentioned her idea for our one year/family session and I was THRILLED with the idea of balloons in the prairie! Of course, sometimes things don't quite go to plan with sharp grass popping balloons, etc. haha, but we did what we could! Loved this! She's already shared her plans for our next family session and I CANNOT WAIT!!! I love it when we can do something totally fun and new and different than just the same old same old :) Happy Birthday to Miss X and thank you J family for having me around this whole year getting to watch Miss X grow like a little weed :) Enjoy your sneak peek!

The K Family- {MN Family Photographer}
What a beautiful night for an outdoor family portrait session! As I have said before, I love it when we are really able personalize a session and make it unique for the family and this was no exception. This family has a special connection to our golf course here in town, leaving us with the perfect backdrop for their family portraits! We had quite a bit of fun taking around the golf carts to various locations and even ran down to the water at Pebble Beach for some fun shots at the end. I even got in the water, it was heavenly ;) What a fun group of people! Thanks so much K family for asking me to capture these memories for you- enjoy your sneak peek!

The Z Family {MN Family Photographer}
I had met the sweet family and little Miss G last November for our first photo session and back then they told me stories of their beautiful farm they on and all the fun photo opportunities we would have out there. We agreed a summer session would be great together. I was very pleased to be contacted by them this summer to indeed set up that outdoor portrait session on their farm. Right away I knew we struck a gold mine ;) I just love doing sessions at people's homes. It is so much more personal and gives it a different and unique look every time. Little Miss G was a doll - look at those eyes!! I love her nickname from her parents, "The Siren" and boy, she can play a good siren when she wants to ;) We had lots of fun making our way around the farm and finding lots of places for photos, as well as the pets that got to follow along with us and be our audience :) Enjoy your sneak peek Z Family!

The C Family {MN Family Photographer}
Oh what a windy day it was out at Prairie Wetlands in Fergus Falls the night of this shoot. But we certainly tried to "work it" in our favor. Windy and warm that is so we had to move quickly as these kiddos liked to be on the move as well- which quickly added up to some red faces ;) How wonderful is this family's attire?? Perfect for photos- loved the outfits and the little touches of the necklaces, etc. Loved the color scheme. And how adorable are the kids! You had to see Mr. M's eyelashes in person to truly do them justice, but wowza! We had great fun exploring the land out there and trying to get some pictures in along the way.
This session was the winning session from my Operation Bootstrap Africa fundraiser last month. Thank you so much C family for keeping up with the bidding-- we broke last year's record and I look forward to next year shattering this year's donation-- and the C family were winners as well as they scored an awesome photography package for a sweet price ;) Thanks so much C Family-- enjoy your sneak peek! And thank you again for helping support OBA!
