Lexi - Female Stylin' Senior 2012 Winner {MN Senior Photographer}

Meet Lexi! She is our 2012 Female Stylin' Senior winner! Lexi had a very well-written entry into the contest and immediately made it to the final cut with her great personality that even showed in her writing and in meeting her in person I knew we made a great choice! Lexi is an amazing singer as I found out before the shoot when I heard her singing in our local musical Annie this summer. She is very enthusiastic and willing to try anything and sweet as can be :) It was SO fun getting to go through Vanity and pick out ANY outfits we wanted to use. What an amazing staff there to help us piece things together for a complete and unique look. We then made our way over to 715 Hot Heads to see owner of the salon Lauren Carlson for Lexi's hair revolution. They decided to do some fresh layers and a new color and WOW what an amazing color on her!! We couldn't believe the difference and how her eyes popped! Last we headed over to the Clinique counter at Herberger's to get Lexi's make up applied and once again, wow- what great people and products we have at our fingertips right here in Fergus Falls. What a FUN day that was!! We then headed out to do Lexi's photos and she was a natural- SO easy to photograph and GORGEOUS! With the Vanity wardrobe and 715 Hot Heads/Clinique makeover it was the perfect addition to this great girl's natural beauty. Mr. & Mrs. S - Encore! {MN Wedding Photographer}

Quick blog post on this super fun encore session!! Mr. and Mrs. S were married in April and it was a COLD and WET day! Quite the change from this SUNNY and HOT day! But perfect for what we had in mind. We had been planning a trip to the softball diamonds for their engagement session and it was too wet, for their wedding, and it was too wet, and now for their encore we MADE IT!! :) They kind of had the start of their relationship at these very fields so it was important we incorporated that into the session. We also got brave and got a little bit in the water to cool down at the end of the session. Thanks Eric for being a sport with that haha. Mr. & Mrs. V {MN Wedding Photographer}

*Sigh*.............this was a simply BEAUTIFUL wedding, every, and I mean EVERY detail perfectly planned out and personalized and GORGEOUS! I was in heaven getting to shoot this wedding!! Did I mention yet how STUNNING the bridal party was on top of it all?? And did you get a look at the bride herself!? Yowza! She didn't believe me when I was oohhing and aahhing while taking these shots, but I hope now she sees the finished product and how simply beautiful she was looking!! Emotions were running high that day and you could feel the love between these two, it was electric. I had goosebumps. I could go on and on but the photos speak for themselves. Brandon- Male Stylin' Senior 2012 Winner {MN/ND Senior Photographer}

Meet Brandon! He is our 2012 Male Stylin' Senior Contest winner! Brandon comes from West Fargo High School. In Brandon's own words, he considers himself a cowboy-type. We had fun getting him even a LITTLE outside of his comfort zone. We of course always want our seniors to still be themselves in their photos, but a little hair cut, beard trim, and product/style from 715 Hot Heads gave him an updated look for his senior photos. Also at Herberger's we had our own personal shopper helping us pick out whatever outfits Brandon was keen on for his senior photo session with me. What great service and staff we have to work with right here in Fergus Falls. Thank you so much Herberger's and 715 Hot Heads for helping sponsor our Stylin' Senior event this year. Brandon got a $25 gift card from Herberger's, as well as got to borrow three outfits of his choosing from Herberger's. Haylie & Hayden {MN Senior Photographer}

What is better than one senior to photograph? TWO! Twins even at that! And by the way, you wouldn't believe how well these two get along! Maybe its that "twin thing," but wow- what a great relationship they have and you can really see it shine through in the photographs. I even offered to do their sessions on two different evenings, but they wanted to have some photographs together. What a great idea! We ended the session heading out to their family home on the lake and took photographs on their beach. Ok, I may be a little biased that this is a pretty darn good looking group here.......this is my family from Staples. They asked me to do family photos for them at a surprise 40th anniversary party for my Great Aunt Linda and Great Uncle Mike. I of course agreed! The kids were SO good you have no idea! All smiles :) What a beautiful day to celebrate their great love that you can still see shining through after all these years and wonderful to see the beautiful families that have grown, all because two people fell in love :) Congratulations Auntie Linda and Uncle Mike! Oh what a beautiful day for a wedding! Blue skies and pretty clouds make for a happy photographer :) I also am in LOVE with Amanda's dress by the way- GORGEOUS! So many thoughtful details went into their special day from the yummy deserts to the floral arrangements they did themselves- the bride wore COWBOY boots under this gorgeous dress--and as you can see, complete with motorcycle for a getaway vehicle. Curt & Lisa {MN Family Photographer}

I was SO happy when Lisa contacted me about doing a couples session for her and her husband! I LOVE love- OK so that may be redundant, but I do! One of my favorite things to photograph is the relationship between two people in love. You don't have to be doing engagement or wedding photos to celebrate that and capture that moment in time. I want to stress that point, there should be MORE of these types of sessions done. Take an evening, celebrate you and your significant other, and get photos to cherish for a lifetime. What a special treat or gift to give someone else or yourself! We had the PERFECT evening for photos out at Curt and Lisa's beautiful home and property. I couldn't have asked for anything more. The D Family {MN Family Photographer}

The D family and I met because of some pretty awesome people that put their heads together and got them a photography package for a gift! How sweet is that and what PERFECT gift idea ;) hint hint-- (Christmas will be here before we know it people- just kidding haha) The perfect gift that they will treasure forever and no worries about getting duplicates ;) They had not had a family photo taken in quite some time so this was quite a special session for them all. The V Family - {MN Family Photographer}

Its still technically summer time, but boy can you tell the difference in temps around here! Still very pleasant, but from the week of this shoot comparing to the week prior- wowza! We had a beautiful night for this session. What a super fun family this was!! The little guy gave us a run for our money-- what a little ham! He wanted his picture taken, but only on "his terms" as you can see in some of the above photos haha :) Sometimes even the best laid plans get run by the littlest guy involved ;) But those photos have the best stories and memories attached to them as well.
